Or maybe even making certain materials slightly luminescent to clean it up if there’s no noticeable glow. Or on a pinch jacking the scene with light and then under exposing in post. And then getting things down to a level where the red giant denoiser-III can just clean up the tiny bit left in after effects. In most cases I’ve just found perfecting unified sampling and brute force rays up really high is much better than any denoising. I’ve had photos take 5 hours before so that wouldn’t be fun at 10.
